Marriage Devotional: In the Spirit of Building Unity

Inspired by an evening session with Counsellor Smith and Meim Smith at the “Young Adults Forum” (on May 7th in Toronto), a group of 10 of the participants (on their way back to Ottawa) decided it would be fruitful to continue – in the same spirit- to pray, reflect, and discuss issues related to marriage.

Principle: Unity of mankind starts with the degree that unity and love are nurtured leading up to and within marriage. As a basic building block of society, when we take ownership in strengthening the spiritual foundation of family life we are, in fact, strengthening the spiritual foundation of society. What better way to do this than to establish an open forum that is directed and inspired by spiritual principles that guide the exploration into tangible action. Ours is to: “Tread the spiritual path with practical feet”.

Atmosphere: Relaxed, informal, café-style.

Especially for: “Young Adults” in their 20s and 30s (as had been the case in Toronto) PLUS friends of the faith who have a similar interest.
