About Me
(borrowed from professional page)

Early life

Born in Montreal, Canada in 1981. Moved to Barbados at age two for 9 years. Even here I had a penchant for understanding elements and interactions at a more profound level. Never one to passively accept 'truths' In needed to arrive at them myself. Moved to the United States of America at age 11. I completed middle and high school in Miami, Florida—attending 5 schools in 5 years. Weston was my home for a handful of pre-college years.
I relocated to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, three years later earning an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in business. A year later, also at U.F., I completed the course work for the M.S.M. program (Masters of Science in Business with a specialization in Management) Now I find myself comfortably in Canada, being close to my younger brothers and family, while gracefully pursuing my professional aspirations.

Goals

Being an independent consultant for small to mediums sized struggling businesses is my lifetime aspiration. Helping owners get closer to their goals (à la retirement) by guiding their business into providing more helpful service to their customers, ranks highly for me in the category of 'exponential service to humanity,' a most sublime métier.

Strengths

Foremost, an almost preternatural understanding of the essence of business transactions. In all of my training the focus has been less on the specifics and more on understanding the concepts and relating and incorporating new information into a single intertwined matrix of knowledge. So instead of having subjects of compartmentalized 'facts' on say Finance, HR, and accounting—a holistic comprehension, that takes each simultaneously into account, has emerged.
Background in psychology gives me a good understanding of group behavior and insight into individual motivations, inclinations, and biases. Designing and validating psychological inventories are well within my repertoire as such exercises were common in my undergraduate studies. Statistical training enables me to interpret these observations accurately and consistently.
An ever-learning attitude and gritty resourcefulness enable me to foray into unfamiliar territory. As soon as the complexity or difficulty of a project seems insuperable, a vast network of business-savvy friends and family members can be referred to in conjunction with the corpus of literature on the world wide web and in managerial journals. Skill in sifting through this glut of resources enables me to answer questions and ponder thoughts that would otherwise be intellectually inaccessible.
